Tree Craft

During “Kids Club” this week, the children are making colourful trees. First, they will glue on a paper tree and then use corks to stamp paint/leaves on the paper. A model of the craft is always prepared to set out clear expectations for the children. They will be expected to request a fall color or paint using a developmentally appropriate mode of communication (e.g., words/word, sign, picture symbol, reaching). If developmentally appropriate the children will be expected to request paint from peers in the group. Along with responding to group directions, requesting, identifying colors; the children will work on hand eye coordination, and hand strengthening during the craft portion of “Kids Club”.
